Ride Rasmussen Style offers the ultimate in backcountry snowmobile adventures and instruction. Our guides have been trained personally by “The Professor” himself, Bret Rasmussen.

We offer the experience of a lifetime for anybody who loves riding in technical mountain terrain. The Ride Rasmussen Style Clinics are great for everyone, whether you want to advance your skills or just beginning to learn. It’s our mission to help you become a better backcountry snowmobiler by teaching you tips and tricks to traverse the terrain easier and safer.  Even if you have limited time on a snowmobile, our team is here to help you have fun and stay safe. Don’t feel like you will be holding the group back or contrarily waiting for the groups as our intention is not to put on maximum miles each day, but to exercise technique and improve rider ability. Everyone will be challenged well beyond their limits and enjoy the adventure to the fullest. Clients may choose to participate for as many days as they desire but multi-day clinics are encouraged so the new riding techniques become second nature.

Besides Rasmussen certification, our guides have ALL passed a rigorous certification process attending a 16 hour Wilderness First Aid training, a 24 hour avalanche level 1 certification, a 24 hour avalanche level 2 certification, companion rescue certification and several are Pro 1 certified to teach avalanche training. Ride Rasmussen Style carries only the best avalanche and safety training and gear to ensure client safety is the highest priority at all times.

"Hands down the greatest time snowmobiling ever!"

Avalanche certification courses

AIARE Rescue: $150 (1 session)

Avalanche Rescue is for everyone, whether you are just learning how to use your transceiver, an aspiring professional, or a backcountry traveler with many years of backcountry experience. This one-day course is a place to both learn new skills and keep your existing skills sharp. Avalanche Rescue is a prerequisite for the AIARE 2. Must be able to traverse the backcountry on snowmobile. Open to snowbikes but not snowbike specific.

AIARE 1: $449 (2 days)

The AIARE 1 is a two-day course that provides an introduction to using decision making tools to help a group manage risk while traveling in avalanche terrain. Students can expect to develop a good grounding in how to prepare for and carry out a backcountry trip, to understand basic decision making while in the field, and to learn rescue techniques required to find and dig up a buried person (if an avalanche occurs and someone in the party is caught). Must be able to traverse the backcountry on snowmobile. Open to snowbikes but not snowbike specific.

AIARE 2: $549 (2 days)

The AIARE 2 is a two-day course for those who have taken an AIARE 1 and Avalanche Rescue and have had at least a year of backcountry travel experience. The AIARE 2 provides backcountry leaders the opportunity to advance their avalanche knowledge and decision making skills by applying their skills to new terrain and situations. Avalanche Rescue is a prerequisite for the AIARE 2. It is highly recommended that participants gain at least one season’s worth of backcountry travel experience between taking the AIARE 1 and the AIARE 2. Must be able to traverse the backcountry on snowmobile. Open to snowbikes but not snowbike specific.
