ASHI Wilderness First Aid- 2 year certification

Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment. We have tailored ASHI’s Wilderness First Aid program to benefit the motorized wintertime backcountry user. This class includes CPR/AED, basic first aid, and we cover many
scenarios encountered in the backcountry motorized environment.

This comprehensive 16-20 hour course meets the requirements and guidelines of the USFS. There will be an online pre-course study required prior to arrival at the class. Upon arrival expect two days of mixed classroom and field training.

As a reward for taking this class we have made available emergency survival, first aid and trauma kits at a greatly reduced price if purchased during checkout while registering for class. The 50%
discount will only be available for students and on a 1 per student limit, you may choose all 3 kits, which compliment each other.

For the safety and benefit of your regular riding group, this wilderness first aid class will advance your knowledge and provide experience to perform in emergency situations. We spend time each day in a classroom setting at the SpringHill Suites at Macks Inn in Island Park, ID. More importantly, field training is provided each day in the backcountry and accessed by snowmobile. Mock accidents
are set up and all students will have the opportunity to engage in mock trauma situations.
Assessment of injuries and caring for patients will be the number one outcome of this class. Hands on training makes it fun and reinforces learning outcomes.
